This weekend was actually pretty exciting. My sister Carla and her family visited us and brought a new addition to the Bowers clan. We got one of their Jack Russell terrier pups, named appropriately, “Sugar” because she is so sweet. I know that this is not in keeping with my Jiu-Jitsu tough guy persona, but dog gone it, I love puppies!
Thanks very much to VideoCopilot.net, I've recently been able to really improve my visual effects skills. I've followed some of VCP's brilliant tutorials and have even been able to apply some of this learning to some shots in the film. You can check out one of my test clips posted on YouTube here.
I so love it when a Poser product I'm testing inspires me to want to create a render. This happened recently on a product I was testing for the PoserPros.com store. The particular product was called the Desco Brute. It had such nice materials that any render would create a life like slickness to the skin that really got me going.
During the process of reviewing some old files for stuff to transfer to my new HP laptop, I ran across an image that reminded me of a story that I just had to share. I've told the tale many, many times because it always leaves people in tears it's so funny. It just seemed wrong not to include it here for posterity.
The cat is now officially out of the bag. My wife Nancee and I are starting a health food & nutrition store. Albemarle Nutrition will have it's grand opening the first week of 2008.
